Its GIVEAWAY time again! Thanks to everyone who entered the last NYFW giveaway our 1st officially on the new blog. Kristen Lombardi creator of Manimal is graciously sponsoring today's giveaway. If you haven't checked out our visit to Manimal Studios please take a moment and do so, I had an amazing time. I remember  briefly glancing at the Scrap Rounds Necklace when I visited Kristens studio, but forgot just how well made and hefty it is until I received it in the mail. Using leather scraps from various Manimal projects, Kristen creates wonderful accessories and more like the necklace above.

    Personally, I look for a mix of "fantasy" fashion (aka really expensive stuff) and "realistic" fashion (aka the stuff most of us wear and can afford). I like to get inspired by the expensive stuff but find out about the stuff I can actually afford, you know?

    When I got to a fashion blog, I look for independent designers, designers that specialize in eco-fashion and/or local (to me) designers. Not all fashion blogs have to have all three of those qualities, but one of those qualities will do!

    when visiting a fashion blog...i expect to be surprised. I do not want to see the everyday things like Rihanna & other regulars. I want to see the off brand things and ppl who have style that makes me say..."wowie. i could pull that off".
    i want to see independent ppl doing their own thing.

    I look for an individual perspective on fashion. Having an indie flair with real opinions helps the reader to imagine a different idea and maybe even learn something new. Fashion in and of itself is subjective. It's the individual perspective that keeps the conversation going.
